I first wrote about this place back in July when it was still under construction. It was for sale then, and still is. Clearly built on spec., and clearly trying to sell to a speculator. What a laugh.

The blurb speaks of Ground lvl possible for 2 one bdrm suites. Well sure, but the second of those would be an illegal suite. I wonder if the buyer would even be aware (or care) of that. The junk fortress that was built new next to me has an illegal suite too, and the next three in a row as well. It's all the rage it seems, flaunt the law to be able to afford something. We just end up with rats' nests.

Although only recently finished, this place has been on the market for a good 90 days. It will be fun to watch it on the way down in a new feature called Wait Reduction - how to shave 10's of 1,000's off of your ridiculous asking price every week.

I suppose that it's a bit more "reasonable" than that little green shack for just 87 G's less that we saw yesterday.

Who built this sage/dung coloured bunker? I am not sure if the gables make it faux Cape Cod or French manor style, but it is an eyesore. The colour and proportions are all wrong.

Is this the fault of architects without aesthetic sense or should we blame city hall for not having style guidelines in the city plan?

Didn't anyone learn the embarrassing lessons of the "Vancouver Specials" of an earlier era...

"Heritage style"? I don't know what kind of heritage they're talking about, unless they're talking about Vancouver-special style heritage... And even then it looks worse...

nor do I...the new heritage perhaps?

It was still for sale two days ago (at least, there were two signs on the property). It doesn't show up on MLS now though.

Looks like they tried to fill up every square inch of that lot with "house". Yuck.

Funny how the momentum has changed. The talk now is not whether or the market will correct. That is a given. Even realitors and CMHC agrees that the market is turning. The question now is how much. 30%, 50% or 60%. If the market is not going up, why buy now. Why even buy in the next 3 years. Just wait till it bottoms out and them buy.

i wouldn't buy this place even if it the price was cut in half! Oh when are we going to move on to the next cookie cutter vancouver specials?
