busy, buzzy
I'm too busy to post anything meaningful (not that I ever post anything meaningful...), so I am inviting random comments and ideas.
Please remain civil, and refrain from flames. Thanks.
Perhaps I am not so much busy, as just a lazy dog...
I will be posting a 2006 round-up, and a 2007 outlook - hopefully by Sunday.
Thanks to you all for visiting, reading, and posting.

Bud - with all due respect - a guy ranting about the ethics and business practices of others should not be stealing other people's copyrighted work.

Not sure about the ranting (where did I rant about ethics?), but I did not steal any copy-righted work. I lifted an image, and gave full credit (after modifying it). In altering the image, I have not infringed on any copyright. Now, if I had claimed the work as my own, that would be stealing.
I was too lazy to give lazydog.com credit for the lazy dog pic., but I have remedied that here.
A note on fair use from wikipedia: Fair use and fair dealing
Main articles: Fair use and Fair dealing
Copyright does not prohibit all copying or replication. In the United States, the fair use doctrine, codified by the Copyright Act of 1976 as 17 U.S.C. Section 107, permits some copying and distribution without permission of the copyright holder or payment to same. The statute does not clearly define fair use, but instead gives four non-exclusive factors to consider in a fair use analysis. Those factors are:
the purpose and character of your use
the nature of the copyrighted work
what amount and proportion of the whole work was taken, and
the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
In the United Kingdom and many other Commonwealth countries, a similar notion of fair dealing was established by the courts or through legislation. The concept is sometimes not well defined; however in Canada, private copying for personal use has been expressly permitted by statute since 1999. I (privately) copied the images for my personal use on my personal blog.
I have not benefitted in any way by using the images, nor have I caused any harm to anyone's reputation, or financial outlook, so give me a break Bud.
Thanks for the chuckle wg2c.
I don't think that many understand that I am creating them, and what they write, to amuse myself in the vast silence of eternity.
bc_cele - I/you made me chuckle too. I'm getting god/good at this.
As Michael Jackson/I/you sang - I/you/he/me/we/they am/are the world...
stealing other people's copyrighted work
Hahah. I saw a guy wearing a Coors lite Tshirt yesterday, he was TOTALLY stealing their work!
I'm against big corporations, so I steal from them by engraving their logos in public places.
Whaaa-tevarr!
