Hi mk-kids I tried to check out your blog.. but to no avail.. nothing there.. only your profile which tells me nothing about you.. I would like to come back.....so why are you hiding if that's the case?
hi babybull40, thanks for your interest in us unfortunately we haven't anything interesting to put on a blog yet. we only registered so that we could communicate on some of these blogs that won't allow anonymous comments.
we're lurkers mostly, trying to get a handle (and having lots of great laughs many courtesy of solipsist!) on the real deal with van (un)real estate. we're getting married next spring & had been looking to buy something until we met a few agents - ick! horrendous, all 5 of them - and then looked at some ridiculously priced places. having read vhb & rireb for 6 months now we're happy to know we aren't the only people in vancouver stunned by property prices & the lack of value in vancouver. We are now planning to rent until we get a serious market correction.

Glad to amuse mk and minibull. thanks for coming by.
I have a twisted mind, and an artist as my alter-ego.
I forgot to mention that this would be a great condo conversion project!

not very exciting, are we?
:)

Not to worry - prudence often obviates excitement.
Thank you so much. I laughed like mad, and even sent the joke to my realtor...

Babybull,
You'll have to bring at least 70K to the table.
That's more like it. You forgot to mention the weather too. This place is weather-proof as an added bonus.
BTW, it's probably in a strata of some kind, so you won't be able to repaint the outside.
Probably can't build a deck or have renters either. And the permit to remove the tree will set you back quite a bit.
Be sure to get an alarm system too, or you'll have the homeless squatting in it when you step out for smokes..
Glad to amuse anonymous.
Maybe your agent will contract me to photograph and write up his listings.
That would be a great gig. Marketing the unmarketable. Look out Rennie, here comes solipsist (Um)Marketing Systems.
I forgot about the squatters...maybe I will quit smoking....nahhh.. so much for my dream house.....lol
LOL!!!
